Here’s a talk from NY Times Columnist David Pogue about design in technology. While I don’t agree with a lot of the things he said, he has some valid points. And yes generally speaking simple is better, but this is computing and simple sometimes works against you. The video borders on foaming at the mouth Apple fanboy-ism, but it was worth a watch.
